Dear Friends

For my good and great friends, I offer thee this WEEKEND SPECIAL 1 / 2!!!

First of the two this weekend is"Dear Friends"!!! It is the name of the ending theme of Final Fantasy V, dedicated to the good friends fighting side along side to defeat the evil, not hesitate a bit to sacrifice oneself for another. (Of course due to my intense skill, none is required). It is a slow and guitar played piece, it is relaxing, and calm, as if you are surrounded by friends and safe.

And I hereby deliver "Dear Friends" to my Dear Friends, which would be all of you!

Battle Scene II

Music of, Music of ,Music of the DAAAAAAAAAAY!!!
Today's piece, again, is one of my personal favourite, "Battle Scene II", from Final Fantasy II!

"Battle Scene 2" (戦闘シーン2 Sentō Shīn 2) is the major boss battle theme of Final Fantasy II, being reduced to only the Final Boss Theme heard when fighting the Hell Emperor and later, the Light Emperor, on versions after the PlayStation remake. Since its original appearance, "Battle Scene 2" has been arranged various times and included in several arrangement albums. "Battle Scene B", a boss battle theme present in Final Fantasy II remakes after the MSX version, is an arrangement of this track.

The Place I'll Return To Someday ~ Melodies of Life

s an apology for my delays and forgetting, I will release this special edition.

This bonus edition presents, "The Place I'll Return to Someday" and "Melodies of Life".

"The Place I'll Return to Someday" is a short, melodic piece based on the D Dorian mode and is contrapuntal in nature. However, some of these elements are more or less apparent, or even non-existent, in the many reiterations heard throughout Final Fantasy IX. Despite its shortness, the theme has been included in many official arrangements and compilations and played several times during live performances. It reference directly to the Protagonist, Zidane's, forgotten home, and the terrible truth behind it.

"Melodies of Life" is the theme song of Final Fantasy IX. The song was composed by Nobuo Uematsu and sung in both Japanese and English by Emiko Shiratori. The melody is featured in many instances throughout the game, mostly in scenes involving Zidane and Garnet, or in Madain Sari. "Over the Hills" is Final Fantasy IX's Main Theme, and is an arrangement of the central melody of "Melodies of Life." It serves both as the romantic theme between thief Zidane and Princess Garnet and the theme of hope and dream. The tune, true to its name, is melodies and soothing. It calms the mind and is very beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend listening to it during high stressed Exam season.

And here presents "A Place I'll Return to Someday ~ Melodies of Life".

Elia, the Maiden of Water

Sorry for the delay. Today's music is "Elia, the Maiden of Water"!

is Aria (Elia) Benett's personal theme, from Final Fantasy III. In-game, it plays as a background theme on the Wrecked Ship, but it has been included in other versions. It has a beautiful tune, slow and calm, making stressed souls relax into place. It really gives a sense of peace and harmony by hearing it.

Without further delay, here is the music.

Matoya's Cave

Sorry for the delay! One day late is too much I hope. Friday's Music of the Day!

This piece is "Matoya's Cave". It is the eponymous theme of Matoya's dwelling place from the original Final Fantasy. It plays whenever the party enters almost any cave, including Mount Duergar; the Sage's Cave; the Ice Cave; the Dragon Caves and the Waterfall Cavern.

It's original and "Dawn of Souls/PS" remix provides a joyful and positive mood for a cave that well suites the context. Later remixes have a quiet and calming tune that makes the listener enjoy. The theme is one of the most popular early tracks of the series.

This is once again Music of the day, and today we are introducing a piece from the new game "Dissidia 012 Duodecim Final Fantasy". Please embrace yourselves..."Cantata Mortis & God in Fire" !

"Cantata Mortis & God in Fire" is a theme attributed to Chaos, the God of Discord, in Dissidia 012. "Cantata Mortis," is a section of Latin chanting before transitioning into "God in Fire," itself performed by the Kidneythieves and is written by Tyrone Prince.

The perfect mix of orchetra and later rock is what make this awesome piece perfectly reflect the character of Chaos. A combinations of two different songs, it is indeed a master piece (not the only one though).

Without further delay, enjoy.

Otherworld

Music of the day! For Wednesday AND today!
It is one of the other favourite choice from Final Fantasy X, "Otherworld".

It was composed by Nobuo Uematsu, arranged by The Black Mages' rhythm guitarist Michio Okamiya, with lyrics by Takuya Sugimoto and performed by Bill Muir.

It is sometimes interpreted as an allusion to the journey in FF X. And due to it takes the genre of rock, a rare one in the series, it is an icon of the game Final Fantasy X.
